Programme “Young Female Scientist 2026” Following correspondence from the Deputy Director of University Cooperation and Research Programmes, I am pleased to inform you of the launch by the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD), in collaboration with Okayama University (Japan), of a call for nominations for the “Young Female Scientist Programme 2026.” Launched in 2020, this programme aims to strengthen the human capital of developing countries in the fields of science, technology, and innovation, and to contribute to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). It offers eligible young female scientists the opportunity to conduct cutting-edge research at Okayama University for a period of 14 to 30 days, between October and December 2026. Applicants must be under 40 years of age, hold a PhD or be enrolled in a doctoral program, be proficient in English or Japanese, and demonstrate [the following]: of an excellent academic record. To this end, I would be grateful if you would take the necessary steps to nominate one candidate per institution by March 12, 2026, at the latest, by completing the attached application form. The applications received will be submitted to the Secretary General, who will select the candidate whose file will be forwarded by the authorized services of the MAECNEAA to the Permanent Mission in Geneva on March 16, 2026.
