Scholarships for PhD Studies at the University of Nouakchott Al-Asriya for the 2026-2027 Academic Year Following correspondence from the Directorate of University Cooperation and Exchange, and within the framework of the Cooperation Agreement in Higher Education and Scientific Research concluded between the Government of the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria and the Government of the Islamic Republic of Mauritania, I am pleased to inform you that scholarships have been allocated for Algerian students for the 2026-2027 academic year to pursue PhD studies at the University of Nouakchott Al-Asriya in the following disciplines: Biology, Chemistry, Geology, Mathematics, Computer Science, Physics, Law, Economics, Management Sciences, Geography, Arabic Literature, and History. In this regard, we kindly request that you take the necessary steps to select eligible students who are among the top-performing students in their cohort and currently enrolled in their second year of Master’s studies for the current academic year. Regarding the benefits offered by the university, students receive a monthly stipend that varies depending on their specialization and academic level, ranging from $30 to $50 per month. Transportation and accommodation services are available to Algerian students within the limits of the Mauritanian National Center for University Services’ resources. Please submit the files of selected students to the university administration before June 1, 2026, as the deadline. An electronic copy of the file must be included. The file should contain the following documents: Baccalaureate transcript; Copies of all university transcripts; Copy of Bachelor’s degree certificate (students from National Higher Schools are exempt from this requirement); Second-year Master’s certificate for the 2025-2026 academic year; Class ranking certificate; Doctoral dissertation proposal; Copy of the first page of the passport; Master’s degree certificate, which will be issued upon graduation. The candidates’ files must be compiled in PDF format for each institution, along with an Excel file (click here to download the file), into one compressed folder, and must be submitted exclusively by the institution.
