
Call for Projects – African Think Tank Platform (ATTP)
Following the correspondence from the Deputy Director of Planning, University Cooperation and Relations (SDPCUR/DCEU), I am pleased to inform you that we have received a message from our Consulate in Addis Ababa regarding the launch by the African Union Commission (AUC) of the African Think Tank Platform (ATTP) on July 24, 2025.
This initiative, implemented in partnership with the African Capacity Building Foundation (ACBF) and the AU Development Agency (AUDA-NEPAD), is receiving USD 50 million in World Bank (WB) funding to support projects in the following areas:
- Economic transformation and governance,
- Climate change,
- Regional trade,
- Food security,
- Human capital development,
- Digitization.
AUC Vice-Chairperson, Ambassador Selma Malika HADDADI, officially launched the Platform, reaffirming the African Union’s commitment to strengthening the role of African Think Tanks in evidence-based policymaking, in line with the aspirations of Agenda 2063.
📌 The Commission invited interested Think Tanks to submit their projects by September 24, 2025.
