Scholarship Offer for a Training Program under the auspices of the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia (ESCWA) Following correspondence from the Directorate of Cooperation and University Exchange, I am pleased to inform you that the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research has received a scholarship offer for a training program of at least seven (7) months, commencing June 1, 2026, in Beirut, under the auspices of the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia (ESCWA). This program is open to students and professors holding a Master’s degree or higher in the following disciplines: Economics, Public Policy, Statistics, Governance, and Sustainable Development, and who are no older than 35 years of age. This program, funded with US$4,000 per month, offers selected candidates the opportunity to contribute to analytical activities and participate in regional decision-making processes. Romanian Government Scholarship Offer – Academic Year 2026-2027

Romanian Government Scholarship Offer – Academic Year 2026-2027 Please find attached correspondence no. 801 from the DCEU, dated April 21, 2026, concerning the Romanian government scholarship offer for the 2026-2027 academic year. This program is open to top-performing students (maximum one student per specialization), enrolled in their third year of undergraduate studies (L3) for the 2025-2026 academic year, and aiming to prepare for a Master’s degree. You will also find attached all the documents required for the application. The required specializations are as follows: Mathematics Artificial Intelligence Civil Engineering Scanned application files, along with the attached Excel file duly completed by the institution, must be submitted no later than May 11, 2026. Each applicant must compile all the documents listed below into a single PDF file, in the order indicated: The application file must include: a) The Romanian scholarship application form, duly completed in all sections; b) Birth certificate; c) A copy of the passport, valid for at least six (6) months after the start of the requested study program, including the first two pages; d) Document certifying a change of name, if applicable; e) The baccalaureate or secondary school leaving certificate, authenticated by the competent authorities of the issuing country (Ministry of Education, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, or other); f) The bachelor’s degree or its equivalent, authenticated by the competent authorities of the issuing country (Ministry of Higher Education, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, or other); g) An official certificate proving that the applicant has completed their bachelor’s degree studies and passed the final examination, for graduates of the current academic year, if the final document has not yet been issued. Annual transcripts may be submitted if the application is submitted before the final examination; h) University transcripts or diploma supplements relating to completed studies, authenticated by the competent authorities of the issuing country; i) A medical certificate attesting that the applicant does not suffer from any contagious diseases or conditions incompatible with pursuing the intended studies; j) A curriculum vitae (maximum 3 pages); k) A letter of motivation (approximately 250 words), specifying the applicant’s motivations and reasons for choosing this program of study. Note: The applicants’ PDF files from each institution, as well as the Excel file, must be combined into a single compressed folder.

Call for Nominations for the 2026 UNESCO Prize for the Education of Girls and Women Following correspondence from the Assistant Director of University Cooperation and Research Programs, I have the honor of forwarding to you, for wide dissemination within the academic and research community, the concept note, in French and English, for the call for nominations for the 2026 UNESCO Prize for the Education of Girls and Women. This prize recognizes exemplary and innovative contributions from individuals, institutions, and organizations engaged in activities that promote the education of girls and women. It should be noted that this prize, supported by the People’s Republic of China, will award two (2) laureates, each with a prize of USD 50,000. To this end, I would be grateful if you could send us one (1) application file per institution, for submission to the Secretary-General, who will select the three (3) best qualified candidates to be proposed to UNESCO on behalf of our country.
